Preschool Explorers

The Preschool Explorers program for two-year-old children provides an introduction to the preschool environment. Learning is guided by the emerging interests of your child and is built on their natural desire to discover and celebrate their budding independence.

Family Connections

Developing partnerships between teachers and families is essential to the happy and healthy development of a child. Regularly sharing a child's interests, milestones observed, and other developmental markers helps connect the classroom to home. Real-time daily updates on our family communication app and conferences with parents offer opportunities to share information and talk about your child's strengths and goals.

A Community of Learners

Our Explorers gather each morning as a community of learners to start the day with music and movement in circle time. Then our students transition to center time, where they participate in a wide range of activities. Our small groups offer a smaller context for the Explorers when they participate in daily story time and group time.

Theme-Based Lesson Plans

Our teachers design exciting group lesson plans and add theme-related objects to enrich the environment. The themes are concrete and meaningful as they are constructed from our children's personal experiences. The student's actions and ideas generate the weekly activity plans, which enhance each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. In addition, frequent projects are chosen based upon the emerging interests of the Explorers, which help begin to develop progressive learning skills.
