Preschool Readiness Enrichment Program
Our Preschool Readiness Enrichment Program, or PREP, is that critical first step in transitioning your child from a traditional early preschool experience to complete school readiness. With an emphasis on social and emotional learning, our PREP program sets children up for lifelong success by nurturing their overall wellbeing.
Communication and Connectedness
Moving from a preschool stage into school readiness is a time full of transition for your child and your family. Our PREP program supports children and families through this time by providing regular parent updates on milestones, progress, and family events. Updates on our family communication app keep you connected to your child’s day, even when you’re away.
Learning Skills for Life
The day begins with a morning message where students are introduced to our Big, Bold, Beautiful Word of the Day. Children know what to expect for the day’s learning, and teachers emphasize the power of words to the students. During facilitated learning centers, teachers guide children using inquiry-based learning techniques, so students understand the material and learn how they can find the answers.
Expanded Learning Concepts
Our PREP students learn to use technology as a resource tool as they participate in problem-solving activities, reinforcing their understanding of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Spanish is incorporated throughout the day in songs and games to train the ear and the brain for additional language development.
Service, Social, and Emotional Learning
Service-learning and social studies provide students with an understanding of their community and the world around them. Through these topics, children learn that they can truly make a difference. Our social and emotional learning time prepares children to negotiate larger class sizes they will later experience in kindergarten. This time equips children for subsequent educational experiences by helping them learn to follow classroom rules, work with other children, and practice social skills.
